Vanilla Pudding Recipe

This page contains a very simple recipe for homemade vanilla pudding.

Add to a small sauce pan, 2 cups milk, 1/2 cup white sugar, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 tablespoon butter.

Pour some of the liquid into a small jar, shaker or small glass and add 3 tablespoons of cornstarch. Shake or blend until the cornstarch is fully combined with the liquid. This prevents lumps from forming when you make the pudding.

Add the cornstarch blend to the saucepan.

Heat the mix slowly. Stir constantly. It will thicken as it approaches boiling. Keep stirring until it has thickened to pudding consistency. (It will thicken more as it cools down.)

Let cool.
