Herring In Sour Cream Recipe
This is a recipe for Polish herring in sour cream.

The basic recipe is very simple. If you want to, you can try adding your own additional spices.
This recipe starts with salted herring fillets.
Soak the herring in water a few hours to take out the salt. Change the water a couple times. It is best if you soak it over night.
Cut it to the size you want.
Slice an onion into small pieces. Mix it with sour cream.
Put the sour cream mix over the herring.
Variations include adding garlic, mayonnaise, and / or mustard.
