One of the little known things about Warsaw is that it is a city dotted with parks, playgrounds and green areas. It is model green city.
Tourists to Warsaw, Poland often see such places as Ogrod Saski, Park Lazienkowski and Wilanoska. But for the most part they do not see the hundreds of other green areas and playgrounds that dot the City.
On many weekends you will find outdoor events and public picnics at many of these local parks. They are generally family events and are very popular with the local people.
A great way to see Warsaw and to see these beautiful parks and green areas is to rent a bicycle and follow one of the many dedicated bicycle paths that the City has set aside.
