How To Get To Warsaw From The Warsaw Airport By Taxi Cab
Getting to Warsaw from the Airport by taxi cab is fast and efficient. This page gives you hints and tips on getting to Warsaw by taxi cab and shows you how to avoid the typical problems that you can have as a traveler at any airport in the world.
When you clear customs at the Warsaw airport you will come into an arrival hall. In that arrival hall you will be approached by people offering you private taxi cab rides to your destination. It is recommended that you ignore these offers and proceed to a corporate taxi service that has its tariffs regulated by the cities and drivers chosen for reliability.
It is better for you to go to one of the kiosks inside the arrival hall and ask for a cab at the desk.
The tariff that you can expect to pay from the Warsaw Airport to the Warsaw City Center Train Station will be approximately 30 Polish zloty. The main hotels are all only a short distance from the Warsaw Central Station so your fair should not be too much higher than this. The fair will be higher at night and on weekends.
If you go directly to the cab you will find that the driver may not speak English. But they do understand the names of the hotels. Just speak slowly and they will understand. But if you order your cab at the Kiosk shown above, the receptionist will make your arrangements for you.
You may pay the driver in Euro, Dollars or Zloty. With Merc, you may use a credit card.
It may be worth your time to go to an ATM machine and immediately withdraw about 200 Zloty of pocket change. It will help you as you make your way to your first destination. There are ATMs in the arrival hall.
