Rice Pudding Recipe
A simple recipe for creamy rice pudding.
This recipe makes a creamy rice pudding. Because you make the rice base in a steamer it is hard to miss with this one.
Rice Pudding Base
In a rice steamer, add 1 cup of uncooked rice, 1 1/4 cups milk, 1 tablespoon of butter, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 cup of sugar, vanilla and 1/2 cup of raisins.
Steam the rice as you normally would.
All to cool well before moving ahead.
To serve, blend the rice pudding base with one of the mixes below.
This is the simplest of all. Blend stiffly whipped cream into each serving.
Whipped Cream With Gelatin
Dissolve 2 teaspoons of gelatin in 1/4 cup of hot water. Add it to the rice base.
Whip stiff 2 cups of whipping cream.
Fold the cream into the rice base.
Add the mixture to a wet mould and allow it to chill and set for at least 4 hours.
