Weather in Poland for the past week has been brutally cold. Temperatures in Poland have been as low as -35 degrees centigrade. That converts over to -31 degrees Fahrenheit .
The weather has impacted public transportation with some intercity trains being late and some being cancelled due to overheads electric wires that have snapped due to the extreme cold. The trains themselves are warm.
Some city tram systems in Poland have had weather related problems. Snapped overhead wires and ice and snow problems in switches have caused difficulties.
Roads in Poland are passable, with some completely clear and some ice and snow covered. Simply stated, however, road travel can be and is hazardous if for no other reason than many drivers do not adjust their driving habits to bad conditions.
Travelers to Poland have been caught short by the weather. Many have come to Poland totally unprepared for the cold.
