Only No Loss reports are to be sent to this email address. Due to the sheer volume of materials received, USSS does not respond to submissions to this address.

When you respond to a Nigerian scam letter you put yourself in danger. Not only do you put yourself in financial danger you put yourself in physical danger.
The people behind Nigerian scam letters are hardened criminals who are not above threatening to kill you if you do not comply with their demands and who have reportedly lured some people to Nigeria where the people have been killed or held for ransom.
Do not try to outsmart the people who send Nigerian scam letters. They know what they're doing and they have seen all the tricks. Attempting to scam the Nigerian scanners is an exercise in futility and very dangerous for you.

So if you respond to a Nigerian scam lottery letter, you are likely to be told that you have to prepay the taxes prior to being the recipient of the proceeds of the lottery.
But as soon as you make the prepayment to the Nigerian scam letter writer and the payment clears, you will no longer hear from the Nigerian scammer.
