What exercising must you do to lose weight fast? Walking or simulated walking! You neither have to join a gym nor do you have to go outside if it is inconvenient.
What we call simulated walking is to walk on a very simple treadmill. Let us emphasize - VERY SIMPLE treadmill. If it is convenient to walk, there is no need for a treadmill. But if you want to really lose weight fast, you will have one anyway. We will discuss that later in this page.
The first step in losing weight fast is to stop your weight gain. That is easily done if you use a balance log. A balance log is a simple weight control program that you put on your PDA or your computer. With it you can set up a weight maintenance or weight loss program. Once you are not gaining weight, it is simply a matter of walking an hour a day or using a treadmill for 10 or 15 minutes at a time as many times a day as you can.
You do not need an expensive treadmill. And you do not need any other expensive equipment. Treadmills are very efficient, very inexpensive and very good for you to use.
Perhaps the biggest benefit of a treadmill is that because it is so convenient to have in your home or office and because it is so easy to use, you will increase your exercise time.
A treadmill allows you to split your exercise periods into parts and still burn just as many calories as you would during a major exercise period. Consider a 15 minute wake-up walk in the morning. Then add a 20 minute quick walk just before lunch. And then 10 minute fast walk just before dinner to curb your appetite or to fight night time boredom?
You, like most of us, just don't have the time to travel to a gym, change, exercise 45 minutes, change and come home. But most of us can take 15 minute breaks during the day to walk on a treadmill. And if you do that three times a day you have a 45 minute workout every day.
But you can still walk. You do not need a treadmill. If you have one, use it and walk.
You will lose weight fast. The amount is up to you, but on a one hour exercise program on a treadmill, combined with a no weight gain setting in your balance log, you can lose between five and ten pounds per month.
