Polish Christmas Will Be Wet And Warm

Temperatures in Poland are expected to continue to range in the thirty to forty degree Fahrenheit range through Christmas and possibly on to the year end.

So far the month of December has been warm and wet under continual gray skies. There have been spotted snow flurries around country with no accumulation to be noted.

It has not even been cold enough in the mountains for the ski areas to start making snow.

Since the Polish ski areas get really active only when vacation starts for school children, the ski areas have not yet suffered. But with schools letting out for Christmas vacation about the 22nd of December, early skiing plans are likely to change unless there is some sudden change in the weather.

The weather has not, however, stopped the people from flocking to the shopping malls and outside Christmas bazaars.

Rains and showers have been accompanied by stiff winds. Travelers are advised to bring warm clothing because the wind chill factor makes it very uncomfortable to be outside.
