In addition to the Germans were people from Spain, Hungary and Denmark. The actual number from each country is unknown in that only after the arrests were made were the police made aware that they were fighting foreign thugs.

It is reported, which reports are backed up by video footage, that the Germans even brought with them their own medical teams.

The riots had to be well planned in advance for these foreign groups to know that the place to meet and launch their attack on the Polish Police was Plac Konstytucji in the Center of Warsaw. Likewise the prevalence of white facemasks indicated some central organization providing supplies.

The Police were in place to keep separate two groups of demonstrators,

One group goes under the name Colorful Independents. It is made up of gay rights supporters, and anti-nationalists.

The other group was made up of thugs, soccer fans , rightists and extreme rightists.

Of note, the extreme rightists are, among other things, anti-foreigner. And particularly anti-German. But it is with this group that the Germans allied themselves.

Prior to being attacked, the police told people that if they did not have press passes they had to choose to join the crowds for one of the two groups. If one did not want to join one of the groups, they were advised, and told, to leave for it was too dangerous for onlookers.

The rightists attacked the Police instead of the Colorful Independents.

And once they attacked, they spread rioting across Warsaw.

Here is a video showing some activity at Nowy Swiat where it is reported that German thugs threw bottles and stones at Colorful Independents before being rounded up by the police.
