Warsaw Public Transportation Ticket Prices Increase

Warsaw, Poland 15 August, 2011 - The prices for tickets for public transportation in Warsaw, Poland, with the exception of tickets for people over 65, have increased 30%.

In addition to the increase in prices, the tickets have been redesigned.

The public transportation system in Poland has been undergoing major improvements.

The second metro line is on the construction and one of the main streets in the center of Warsaw has been closed for at least two years.

Old trams are being replaced on a continuing basis. Just recently 23 modern trams, built in Poland, were added to the operating list of equipment.

The entire bus fleet has been modernized.

As it is, the cost of public transportation in Poland is extremely low.

For example, people over 65 can ride all day as many times as a way for about one cent per day.

Normal ticket allow people to ride for about one dollar per day.
