Poland's Eurozone Entry Questioned
Classified Polnews
Warsaw, Poland 17 August 2011 - Polish Deputy Prime Minister Waldemar Pawlak has questioned the advisability of Poland joining the Eurozone.

What Is
Value Of The Euro
To Poland?
Poland has definitely benefited from its membership in the European economic community. But as the crisis with the Euro develops, some people are starting to question Poland's future in the Euro zone. One such person is Poland's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Waldemar Pawlak.
He stated that the Euro as a common currency has many flaws. It is more like an umbrella with holes then an economic shield.
His concern is that a quick and unstudied decision to join the Eurozone can have serious consequences for the Polish economy.
He pointed out that one of the more serious problems with the Euro is the difference in inflation in the various Eurozone countries. For example, the prices of Greek products are more than 40% higher than those same products in Germany and France. He claims that that is the secret to the problems with the Euro.
He staed that if within a few years of functioning in the Euro zone, there has been no leveling of the effect of work and economy on the countries, internal conflicts will, as they have, arise.
He believes that entering the Eurozone requiresserious thought and not blind enthusiasm.
He said that it is time to visit Margaret Thatcher's comment that entering the Euro zone had to be done at the right moment and in making that decision we all know that the right moment will never come.
With someone as powerful as Minister Pawlak questioning entry into the Eurozone, people are likely to start wondering.
