Classified Polnews
Warsaw, Poland 12 April, 2010 - Thousands of people waited for hours on the cold streets of Warsaw, Poland to pay homage to Polish President Kaczynski as his remains were transported from Warsaw's Okecie Airport to the Presidential Palace.
People were lining the streets hours before the scheduled landing time of the military transport carrying the President's body from Russia. And after the plane landed, it took over two hours for the Presidential Convoy to make it from the Airport to the Presidential Palace.
People on the streets talked via mobil phones to those at home watching television and kept informed those huddled around them trying to keep warm in the heavy, cold wind.
The roads were lined with flowers and candles. And as the hearse passed, many more threw flowers.
The crowds applauded and many cried.
Here is a video of what is was like at ground level.
