Poland is a major spam domain having recently risen into the top ten of the world. And Poland is third position as a spam relay country. See Poland ranks in the Internet Spam top-10 and Poland Now Third Worst Spam Relayer As Polish People Ignore Computer Security
But is also now famous for having one Internet service provider that is one of the major spam relay companies and the world. And just that one company handles 5% of the worlds spam relaying.
Spam cause consumers and businesses billions of dollars per year in lost time and burdens networks with useless email that slowdown service to legitimate customers.
It seems that the largest Internet service provider in Poland should show the corporate responsibility necessary to be the Polish leader in fighting spam. But that is not the case.
There is no information as to why Poland's regulatory authorities have not looked into this matter. Because spam affects everyone including the Polish Government and the productivity of Polish companies, it would appear that the Government of Poland to be very interested in its own Internet service provider lending its efforts towards stopping spam.
And on a different level, spamming is criminal in many justifications. And knowingly allowing spam to be relayed can be considered aiding and abetting criminal activity. It would seem that the Polish Government would be interested in stopping these activities that only damage the image of Poland abroad.
