Poland's Weather After The Storms
Classified Polnews
Warsaw, Poland 20 January, 2007 The killer storm that hit Poland this week is now history and the winds have subsided. Winds are still out of the West and gusty. There is rain and sleet across the country but the weather remains abnormally warm.
The next couple days will see Polish weather generally in the middle 30's Fahrenheit with rain and rain showers. There may be some snow in the mountains.
Early next week the temperature is to drop to and hover around the freezing point. Some snow may fall across the country.
It may be colder than it has been this winter, but it is still projected to remain well above the normal temperatures for this time of the year.
Travelers are advised, however, that this is midwinter in Poland and weather conditions change quickly. If artic air suddenly comes in from Russia, temperatures can be very low. So be prepared.
