Twist on sex in Polish schools
Classified Polnews
Warsaw, Poland January 23, 2007. Poland's Minister of Education, Roman Giertych, has shown a great deal of interest in the sex in Polish schools and plans to institute a new form of sexual education.Giertych began his current foray into sex in Polish schools by a requiring that each of the schools send him data on the number of girls who were pregnant.
This requirement was greeted with outrage by teachers, parents and politicians alike.
But he prevaled and got the data that he wanted. And based on that data, he has now decided to go forth with a program to educate young Polish women in schools on purity in life and the importance of faithfulness during marriage.
Giertych is trying to do what Pope John Paul II for the most part could not. The young people in Poland listened to and admired John Paul II but they tended to not live by the letter of his teachings. Though they listened to him with heart and soul, most of them lived their own lifestyles. The Pope and the young people admired and respected each other deeply.
When it comes to Giertych, however, it seems that very few young people admire Giertych and very few even listen to what he has to say. He is generally ignored as a nuisance noise is ignored.
If they do listen, they do it to object and demonstrate against him.
But in any case students in the schools will now have a new course that is a different twist that presents a different twist on sexual education. What that twist is is yet to be known in detail. But it is coming.
