Poland's champion ski jumper, Adam Malysz, has finally returned to form and dominated the jumps at this week's World Cup competition in Obersdorf.

Malysz has been determined to get back to the form he had a few years ago. And until last week's competition in Zakopane, Poland, he had not been as successful as he wanted.

His former trainer, Apoloniusz Tajner, said that Malysz has been in good form since the beginning of the season and it was just a matter of time until he started winning. http://sport.gazeta.pl/skoki/1,65075,3879957.html

According to Tajner, last week he showed determination and style in bad conditions. Though his jump was not long, commentators said that it was only because of his style and class that it was as long as it was.

The completion at Zakopane was cancelled near the end of the second series so Malysz could not jump again and the events results were based on the first jump only. He did not make the podium.

Malysz commented that the results for the season have been, because of the bad weather conditions in Europe, a lottery and did not reflect the talent of the competitors. See Poland's Malysz says ski jumping has been a lottery

This week he carried the form he showed at Zakopane over to Oberdorf and decisively outperformed everyone else on the slope. He jumped 132.5 and 137 meters to the thirtieth victory of his career.

Tajner speculates that this may be a new begriming for Malysz this year. Though well behind the point leader in the World Cup Competition, Tajner thinks that Malysz has a chance to be the overall winner.
