Classified Polnews
Warsaw, Poland 13 January 2007. The Polish Presidents Crisis Management staff moved into a newly constructed building in 2005. Today it is reported that the building is falling apart. And an investigation has started looking for corruption in the tender process for construction by members of the former Polish President's Chancellory
The building is said to be poorly designed and poorly built.
Among other things, ventilation exhausts from the garage go up to the office spaces. The heating system does not work properly.
The helicopter pad is cracked to the point that helicopters cannot land on it.
There are suspicions that the tender process may not have been properly handled and was subject to influence by members of former Polish President Alexander Kwasniewski's Chancellory.
The matter has been turned over to the Public Prosecutor for investigation.
