Spokesmen for the Polish contractor Budimex, which built the terminal, said that no serious damage was done. According to Budimex only few elements of siding came off.
But unofficial opinions are much different and claim that much more serious damage was done.
According to one of the managers of PPL, the architectural plans were done by a Spanish company and the airport terminal is not suited for Polish weather conditions.
Pierluca Roccheggiani from the Spanish firm that designed the terminal, Estudio Lamela, said that the wind is no problem for the building, it is only a problem for the planes.
