Polish government coalition wobbles more than ever

Classified Polnews

The Polish government coalition continues to weaken on an hourly basis. Minority Polish government coalition partner Samoobrona, lead by Poland's star politician Andrzej Lepper, has been pressing his demands on the Prime Minister and in the process has been taking the government from crisis to crisis.

Today Poland's Prime Minister, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, said that the Government cannot continue spending its time going from crisis to crisis and a decision will be made on the status of the coalition.

Kaczynski said that they cannot effectively govern the country if they go from one crisis to another. He added that the situation now makes a mockery of the government and a mockery of democracy.

Kaczynski said that Lepper had to make a decision as to whether he wanted to govern and serve his voters or to break everything out.

Lepper said a decision would be made today or tomorrow.

Relations between the parties seem to be at an end and it would appear that there is little hope for the coalition to exist for very long and almost no hope for the budget to be passed which budget must be passed in order to avoid early elections.

So as its stands, it appears that there will be new elections for one reason or another.
