Polish Prime Minister secretly sets up shadow Minister Of Agriculture For Poland

The Polish Prime Minister, in response from pressure by his Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Andrzej Lepper, removed Wojciech Mojzesowicz, as head of the Poland's Parliamentary Agricultural Committee and, without the knowledge of Lepper, installed him as Secretary of State for Polish Agriculture; a new position in the Prime Minister's office.

Wojciech Mojzesowicz was a member of Poland's Minister of Agriculture's party, Samoobrona. But he left Samoobrona and moved over to the Prime Minister's party, Law and Justice.

As head of the Agicultural Committee, he was a constant irritant to Lepper. It got to the point where Lepper threatened to not support a non confidence motion in the Minister of Treasury if Mojzesowicz,, was not replaced.

At the time of resignation he said that he could not work with Andrzej Lepper.

And the Prime Minister, without telling Lepper, installed Mojzesowicz in a new position in his Chancellery as Secretary of State For Agriculture.

When Andrzej Lepper found out that this had happened, he was, of course incensed.

Currently there is a coalition battle over the budget with Samoobrona threatening to not support the budget and to leave the coalition. The Prime Minister says that if the budget is not approved by the end of the month, there is no coalition.

One would expect that if there is no coalition, the Minister of Agriculture would likely be replaced. And who would make a better replacement than the man who is occupying the position of Secretary Of State for Agriculture in the Prime Minister's Chancellery.

Add to the mix the current rumor that if Samobrona leaves the coalition, some Samobrona deputies will leave Samobrona and join Law and Justice. Law and Justice will then replace Samobrona in the coalition with the other farmer's party, PSL.

And it might be expected that Mojzesowicz will move to a very important position in a new coalition.
