The most corrupt political party in Poland is the party fighting corruption - poll

Warsaw or, Poland September 6, 2006. A recent poll in Poland shows that approximately 35 percent of the Polish people think that the ruling coalition party Law and Justice is the most corrupt political party in Poland. This Polish political party has, however, staked its political future on stamping out corruption in Poland.

The poll results show that Prime Minister Lech Kaczynski's party, Law and Justice, has a commanding lead over every of the party in Poland when it comes to the people's perception of who is most corrupt. The poll showed that Prime Minister Kaczynski party and about 35 percent of the respondents saying they were most corrupt. And as for all other parties, all of them were chosen less than 10 percent of the time and in many cases significantly less than 10%.

Historically the political party SLD has had a reputation of being at the forefront of Polish corruption. But today significantly less than 10 percent of the Polish people think that they are the most corrupt Polish political party.

Prime Minister Kaczynski and his party established an agency that is supposed to stamp out corruption in Poland. Even though he is intent on destroying the corrupt people who have run Poland since 1989, it appears that the people think that he is running a corrupt political party as well.

Some feel that Prime Minister Kaczynski has been looking for absolute power. And the people may know that absolute power corrupts absolutely.

And will his anti-corruption agency find corruption in his party? Will it even look?
