Will Polish emigrants come back to Poland?

Classified Polnews

The emigration of Polish people from Poland to Western European countries has been treated lightly by the Polish government. Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski commented that maybe next year there would be opportunities for young Polish people that would bring them back to Poland. What opportunities can he offer next year and will they come back?

The emigration of Polish people to the west has been termed by many as economic migration. On the other hand, some see it as a rejection of the way of life under the cultural revolution currently taking place under the Kaczynski regime.

The people who have left Poland are sure to have left Poland for many different reasons. And there is no doubt that many, such as those commuting all between Poland and work in the West, have left for economic reasons.

And there are surely others who have left to find a different way of lifeand opportunity. The Polish women who are marrying Western European farmers are prime examples. See French Farmers Dump Demanding French Women For Pretty Hard-working Poles

Some people have said that they are waiting for the economy to improve in Poland before they come back. For example, Marek Soltysik, of Edinburgh-based Szkocka magazine, said" most migrants intended to remain here until Poland's economy improved." See SCOTTISH POLISH CULTURAL ASSOCIATION

But what improvement are waiting for? Investors are opening new factories in Poland, money is pouring into the country from the European Union, and employers are going to the prisons to find workers. See Poland's emigration stimulates use of prison chain gangs Growth in the country is high. .

In spite of this, the emigrants can see no opportunity in Poland now. And even the Prime Minister sees no opportunity if he is saying that perhaps next year Poland will provide opportunity that will bring them back.

If the people are not coming back now to a booming and growing economy when there is a labor shortage for talented workers, one must question as to whether they really want to comeback to the Polish way of life. Perhaps they are more satisfied with life in the West and will not be back.
