Polish EU budget contribution will be cut by 52 million euro in 2006.

The European Commission has reported that Poland’s contribution to the European Union 2006 budget will be cut by 52 million euro.
The EC reported that the budget estimate for 2005 were considerably high. 1 per cent EU budget (more than 1 billion euro) was not spent. Additional income was about 1.3 billion euro, which means that all the dues from EU member countries for 2006 will be cut by 2.4 billions euro. According to the EU budget commissioner, Daria Grybauskaite, better planning and improving budget management bears fruit. Now EU member countries pay exactly what is needed.
