The Bird Flu In Poland
Polish authorities have finally acknowledged that the bird flu in exists in Poland. It was first announced to be in a section that is somewhat in the center of Poland. It jumped from the border regions into the center of the Poland with out showing itself anywhere in between.
As sure as birds fly, the bird flu will spread. The Polish authorities can do everything they can to prevent human beings from transmitting the bird flu but they cannot stop the birds from flying. As the birds fly they empty their bowels and deposit bird flu virus along the past that they have flown.
The bird flu is here. So now what we do? The bird flu was all around us. It is just a matter for time before it is announced that is in more places around the country.
Of course the bird flu as exists is mainly an economic hazard. Because of the fears that the bird flu may in fact transmutate and jump to a mankind, the authorities are attempting to limit man ' s contact with the bird flu. And in that process whenever they find a location where birds are infected with the bird flu, particularly in chicken flocks, they kill the birds that are possibly infected. The main damage is to the farmers will lose their livelihood and to the government that has to compensate them for loss.
But what happens when the bird flue jumps to mankind. No one will be immune to the virus when it's discovered. It will spread among the population according to its natural course. As with other flu certain members of the population will develop immunity to the flu and others will be affected by it.
What happens if the bird flu is particularly bad and causes a high death rate? It is doubtful that it will discriminate and that it will and fact attack anyone that comes in contact with it.
So that means the people providing food, medical services, transportation services, and administrative services, law enforcement, rescue and fire services, and anything else imaginable will be affected. If there is a high death rate from the bird flu all services will be affected.
So you, the head of a small family and a city such as Warsaw, Poland, for example, have to wonder what will happen to if the bird flu decides to in fact mutate into something that causes wide spread of sickness and or death.
It should be fairly obvious that the bird flu will not come in goal in a week. To plague and taught kind for months. So for months all services will be disrupted to one degree or another.
Where will he get you through? Where will you get your food? Will the markets be open? Will the farmers be able to deliver food to the food processors and will they in turn be able to deliver food to the markets?
Can you stockpile food and water for a long period of time? Do you either have the money at or space to be able to stockpile six months of worst of basic food and water in your home?
Since the virus does not exist it is not possible to create an anti-viral medication. But there are other sicknesses that are likely to attack at the population and your family during the time the bird flu is attacking the population. Will you be able to depend on the medical services to care free of family if a pandemic develops.
The issues and problems touched on in this article are too deep and too complex for the average family to even consider solving. The solutions to these problems has to be put together in and published by people who are an expert in the area of population security.
What is the Polish government doing to educate its population and to protect its population? Currently the dominant leaders of the Polish government are tacking the National Bank of Poland and any other person that shows opposition to their policies. It would appear that the Polish government should be spending more time in developing a plan and guidance for the Polish people.
What are they doing about stockpiling food that can be distributed by a reduced military or police force? There is no doubt that these groups will have reduced the effectiveness due to the disease. If they are reduced and effectiveness not only will they not be able to distribute food and aid, they will not be able to maintain law and order.
The bird flu is here. It is here now. It would appear that this is not the time the time of our senior government officials trying to reexamine the offense the past 17 years. The bird flu is now and will be in the future. The senior Polish leaders should shift their attention and start looking at the real problem. If the bird flu mutates into a deadly strain loss of human life in Poland can equal or exceed loss of human life that Poland experienced during World War Two.
The time for action is now.
