At the signing of the Warsaw Stabilization Pact STAPACT, perhaps the most important document signing done by the PIS government to date, only TV Krwam, started by the millionaire Roman Catholic Priest Father Rydzyk was allowed to be present. All other media were excluded.
After the signing of the Warsaw STAPACT PIS held a news conference but to PIS dismay, many media representatives boycotted it in protest of having been excluded from the signing. Later, the leader of PIS, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, said that there were reliable media and unreliable media. He added that there would be repercussions for those who had boycotted the press conference.
This sequence of events may have been just too much for the Roman Catholic Church hierarchy, many of whom have been very critical of millionaire Roman Catholic Priest Father Rydzyk. A private letter of reprimand, which though private is now public knowledge, was given to millionaire Roman Catholic Priest Father Rydzyk. It purportedly warns him about engaging the Roman Catholic Church in politics.
To add a little more, it was revealed on the public television station on 16 February, 2006 that millionaire Roman Catholic Priest Father Rydzyk does not have a letter from the Roman Catholic Church that gives him permission to operate his radio station. It appears that he should not have been granted the right to his station licenses.
According to the former head of the Radio And Television Board, no one ever complained so nothing was done. And the current head says that everything was done properly. And PIS party leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski complains that liberals and leftists only complain about limiting free speech when it applies to them.
What does the Church hierarchy have to say about all this? Will they complain? Will they ignore the rules?
Some think that millionaire Roman Catholic Priest Father Rydzyk will ignore instructions from the Church hierarchy. If so, will the church complain about his license or proceed with the disciplinary actions that can be initiated after they issued the private letter of reprimand?
