Jewish Heritage Tour Of Warsaw
You arrive in Poland at the Warsaw Okecie airport and are transferred to your hotel. You spend two nights in Warsaw at that hotel. Your tour consists of tours of Warsaw including the area of the former Jewish district and sites tied with the Ghetto Uprising in 1943, the Memorial of Heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto designed by Nathan Rappaport, the Judenrat Building, Anielewicz's bunker and Umschlag Platz plus the Jewish Cemetery and rebuilt Nozyk Synagogue in the heart of the prewar Jewish district.
You may choose additional tours.
1. Whole day trip to Treblinka and Tykocin. Visit to the site of a former Nazi death camp where 800,000 Jews were killed, now a monument - mausoleum and symbolic cemetery. Continue for tykocin to visit an early Baroque synagogue built in 1642 (rebuilt 1974-1978).
2. Whole day trip to Lublin. City tour with Jewish interest including cemetery with graves of well known rabbis Salomon Luria (Maharshal) and Meier Lublin (Maharam), the Talmudic Academy (Yeshiva), the synagogue, visit to Majdanek, former Nazi concentration camp, the site of killing of 250,000 Jews from warsaw and Lublin Ghettos.
Jewish Heritage Tour Of Krakow
You arrive in Poland at the Krakow airport and are transferred to your hotel. You spend two nights in Krakow at that hotel. Your tour consists of a trip to Auschwitz - Birkenau, the infamous Nazi concentration camp where millions of Jews were murdered. Visit to Block 27 devoted to the martyrdom of Jews, and Museum which displays exhibits documenting Nazi crimes.
You may choose additional tours.
1. Walking tour of historic Krakow including Old Market Square, cloth Hall and Barbacan.
2. " Oscar Schindler's step"; visiting sights portrayed in famous Spilberg's epic movie. Tour of Kazimierz district - the old Jewish town with its autonomous community (Kahal), Museum of the history of Jews in Poland (1407), 15th century Remuh Synagogue and cemetery (kirkut) with mausoleum of Rabbi Isserles.
