Italian women can't get satisfaction
Italy’s Latin lover reputation took a serious hit when a medical congress heard that six out of 10 Italian woman confessed they can’t get satisfaction.
According to a survey of 600 men and women released during the meeting of the Italian Society of General Practitioners, the gigolos are no-go's.
Over two thirds of the men, according to the study, confessed to the kind of problems discussed in Viagra ads.
Chiara Simonelli, a sexologist at the Sapienza hospital here, said many Italian women in their 30's and 40's have opted for celibacy out of despair of ever finding true romance in the land of Casanova.
She said the survey indicates that one Italian woman out of two is not satisfied with his or her sex life, and added, "On the basis of my clinical experience, I can say that these statistics are inferior to reality.”
Claudio Cricelli, the president of the doctors’ group, said sexual frustration among Italian women is leading to hypochondria, nervous problems and tension — not to mention one of the lowest birth rates in Europe.
