Polish Christmas ornaments are collectors items. The factories in Poland that make the forms like you see here are generally family owned. That is because it takes a certain dedication and patience to do the fine artwork that is necessary to make these fine ornaments.
Companies in the Far East have tried to duplicate the Polish quality. But whether it is because they are interested in price rather than quality or they have too much emphasis on production speed or for some other reason, no factory has been able to produce an ornament as good as those produced by the Polish family-owned factories that have a long tradition of making and painting Christmas forms.
The people at the factories are artists first and production workers second.
So they continually design new ornaments and try new things. Collectors know that what you see today may not be here tomorrow. So they buy as many pieces as they possibly can since they may never see them again.
