Best Way To Get To Auschwitz On Your Own
When it gets down to it, the path to Auschwitz passes through Krakow. Once you are there, you can take buses, trains or cabs.
Because of the location of the Auschwitz Death Camp on the map in relation to Warsaw and due to the way the train system is organized, there is no direct link from Warsaw to Auschwitz.
If you are going to be traveling from Warsaw to Oswiecim, it is best to travel by train from the Warsaw Central Station to Krakow. Once in Krakow you can either change trains and continue to the camp on one of the Auschwitz trains or you can take a bus.
